What is the Most Effective Way to Lose Weight Fast?
Trying to come up an effective way to lose weight fast is really tough to do, so I came up with:
- 12 really great tips to help you lose more fat and consequently more weight.
Losing Fat from your body doesn’t have to be hard. There are simple steps you can take to help you lose body fat faster than you can imagine. But it doesn’t matter how many tips I give you. What does matter is that you put your mind to it and actually take action.
You may think that the best effective way to lose weight from your body is to just eat less. But if you read my other articles on this site, what and when you eat is more important than how much or how little you eat.
There are many other things you can do that will help though.
1 – Don’t Starve Yourself
As I said above, how much or how little you eat isn’t as important as what type of foods you eat. Lowering your calorie count by eating less may not necessarily burn fat, which is what you want. You certainly may burn some fat, but you could also be burning muscle tissue instead and you need muscle as it is what drives your body’s metabolism. However lowering your calorie count by only a few hundred calories should not be enough to cause your body to go into “self defense” mode.
2 – Eat Food All Day to Lose Weight
Rather than just eating three big meals a day, try and eat five or six smaller meals a day. This will help to keep your body’s metabolism in high gear for a longer period which will enable you to lose an extra few pounds. Eating in this manner may make you feel like you are eating more food and yet still lose weight.
3 – Eat More Protein
Protein like lean white chicken meat or from plant protein like soy has a greater effect on your body’s metabolic efficiency than carbohydrates and fats. Also, because protein is used to build muscle, eating less calories by lowering your carb and fat intake and increasing protein will give you a more noticeable effect when trying to lose body fat.
4 – Stagger Your Calorie Intake
Rather than eating all your meals by combining protein, carbohydrates and fat, try staggering the amounts of each on a daily basis. If on day 1 you eat 50% chicken, 25% rice and 25% vegetables, then on day 2 eat 25% beef, 25% pasta and 50% vegetables. On day 3 eat 10% pork, 35% potatoes, and 55% vegetables. What you want to do here is to confuse your body so that it isn’t expecting its nutrients from consistent sources.
5 – Don’t Eat Too Late at Night
The last thing you want is to have lots of energy when you want to go to bed. Eating food will give you just that – energy. Eating carbohydrates will probably just be stored as fat anyway and you want to avoid this. Instead have a lean piece of meat or some fiber rich vegetables. Although I have to admit that sometimes, if I’m really hungry late at night, I may have a small bowl of Corn Flakes with a little skim milk or a piece of fruit. If you are the type of person who eats late at night too often, then it’s because you’re not taking in enough calories during the day time.
6 – Take Omega 3 Fatty Acids for Fat Loss
Really? Yep. It does seem apparent that salmon, sardines and mackerel, which are loaded with omega 3 fatty acids, can help to promote weight loss. One study found that people who ate more fish lost more weight than those that didn’t
7 – Include Spicy Dishes in Your Meals to Lose Weight
Red Chilli Peppers and other hot spices added to your food can raise your metabolism by quite a bit. Not only can adding these spicy ingredients help you to lose more body fat, but they can add an extra touch of flavor to any…almost any meal.
8 – Go For A Walk
Did you know that too much cardiovascular exercise can actually circumvent the amount of calories you would otherwise lose if you just take it a little easy…not too easy…just a little easy.
Just like reducing your calorie intake too much can cause your body to reverse it’s fat burning process to start burning muscle instead.
Instead go for a 30 to 45 minute walk once a day. Increase it to twice a day as you get used to it. After a while, walk faster so that your heart rate increases to a point where you can still breathe easily. If you find yourself getting out of breath then you need to slow down. Going to fast will switch your fat burning process into a muscle burning process, which you don’t want.
9 – Eat some Fat Burning Foods
…as described in a previous article. I won’t go into this very much but using some of these ingredients in your meal preparation can go a long way to helping you lose weight. Garlic is used to enhance the flavor of many meals. Strawberries mixed with some spinach salad and olive oil is a very tasty treat.
10 – Clean House to Lose Weight
Every Saturday morning I wake up early and start cleaning my house. Organizing and stacking boxes requires you to bend and stretch. The same thing goes with gardening. I really don’t mind weeding my garden and pruning my plants. I even get a lot of exercise when I wash and wax my car. There are so many little exercises you can do when doing your regular household chores that losing weight will be easier than you thought. Besides…you know that these chores need to be done anyway, so you may as well get something out of it, right? …and, if you get something out of it you will enjoy it more. What an easy way to lose weight.
11 – Sip Teas to Lose Weight
There are a number of teas you can drink to help you lose weight. Green Tea contains caffeine and phenols that have been shown to help increase the amount of calories burned. Believe it or not some of these teas can help you lose an extra 100 calories a day. So after you finish cleaning your house, weed your garden and wash your car, have a cup of tea and lose even more weight.
12 – Write Down What You Eat and How Much You Exercised
You would be surprised at how much making a journal of your daily activities can help you lose a little extra fat. A journal keeps you reminded of what you did and what you need to do next. When you write down what you ate, you will learn to make better choices the next time you go grocery shopping. Also you will tend to cheat a lot less because you are only competing with yourself.
These are just a few tips and tricks you can do to help you lose more body fat. Starting with these techniques you will begin to develop your own ways to further you along on your weight loss journey. The Fat Loss for Idiots diet program has some extra helpful hints as well as other foods you could eat to help you lose even more fat.

How to Eat More Food to Lose Weight and Lose Body Fat
This may surprise you but eating more food does not directly make you gain weight. You can eat more food to lose weight as well as body fat. The key is in how you eat as well as in what types of food you eat.
This article will explain a few tips and tricks that you can use to eat well enough to quench your thirst for food as well as to lose weight.
For starters, as soon as you wake up in the morning, have a glass of water to get your blood circulating and to give your metabolism a kick start.
Then go have a good breakfast.
Believe it or not, breakfast should be one of your biggest meals, if not THE biggest. Don’t skimp on this. Remember, you will have all day to burn off those calories.
A breakfast loaded with lots of protein will not only help you lose weight but will provide you with energy to keep you going at least until lunch time.
Try to include some fruit and fiber as well. If I know I have a big day ahead of me I’ll have two eggs, 2 slices of whole grain toast, a small bowl of oatmeal with some blueberries and a cup of coffee. Sometimes I’ll also include a glass of orange juice as well.
This may seem like a lot, but if you keep reading this article to the end you will realize that I don’t eating anything at all after 6 PM. This gives my stomach a whole 12 hours for hunger to kick into high gear.
However, sometimes I may have a piece of bread or another SMALL bowl of Corn Flakes with milk to keep my stomach occupied at bed time. It’s not enough to make be too full. If you eat too much you may not be able to sleep.
The fat loss tip you need to learn here is that eating the bulk of your calories in the form of “nutritious” food during the morning rather than later in the day will keep your hunger urges at bay which in turn will help you lose more weight.
Eat More Protein to Lose Weight and to Provide Energy
The other tip is to load up on protein early in the day. Not only does protein help to build muscle mass, but protein provides the fuel you need to keep moving while on your busy daily schedule.
Speaking of muscle mass, you will tend to lose muscle as you get older, and as you age your metabolism slows down. A diet consisting with more lean protein like soy (plant protein), chicken and other lean meats may help you lose fat more quickly.
…and don’t forget eggs and low fat milk like skim milk.
Lower Your Portion Size
Although the answer is a little more complicated, eating less food in general will cause you to lose more weight. The complication comes from the fact that if you don’t eat when your body is craving nutrition, it will go into “self defense” mode and begin to store fat rather than burn fat.
So, how do you eat with the goal of losing weight?
For starters, use a smaller plate. Eating from a small plate forces you to put less food on it. The benefit is that because your body takes a little time before it realizes that it’s not hungry anymore, less food on a smaller plate gives your body a chance to “catch up” with your eating.
Another trick to lower your portion size is to chew your food well. Did you know that your brain counts the number of times you chew. By chewing your food well, your stomach is able to digest the food more efficiently thus enabling your system to absorb more nutrients.
Eating from a small plate and chewing the food well will help to satisfy your hunger and thus lose more weight and more body fat.
Eat More Fiber to Lose More Fat
Many vegetables, and fruits like Strawberries are loaded with natural fiber. Brown rice and fortified cereals are good choices of fiber rich foods to help you lose belly fat. Not only does dietary fiber make you feel fuller longer, but it helps to detoxify your body more efficiently by binding your body’s waste products when eliminated through bowel movements.
Add Spices to Food to Help You Lose More Body Fat
Spicy food like hot chilli peppers really warm the body up and kick your metabolism into high gear. Spices also enhance the flavors of otherwise bland food. So If you’re still convinced that low-calorie food is where it’s at, then add some spice. Once bonus you may get from eating spicy food is that because it’s hot, you will probably eat less yet still feel full.
Eat More Hot Foods to Lose Weight
One reason a hot bowl of soup fills you up so well is just because it’s hot. Try a little experiment. Next time you’re really hungry and want to go to a restaurant, have a hot beverage or soup before you leave and see if that kills your hunger. Better yet, stay home and prepare a variety of broth based soups filled with vegetables…and maybe a little spice.
Not all Fats Should Be Treated Equal
There are good fats and there are bad fats. If you want to lose the fat around your belly, concentrate on the type of fat you’re eating rather than the amount.
Good fats not only help you feel more full, but they can help to maintain blood sugar levels as well. Good fats are those that come from fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel. Other sources include olive oil in moderation as well as nuts like walnuts and seeds like flax seed.
Yes, if you love to eat but still want to lose fat then what you eat and even how you prepare it does count. There are foods that will help you lose more fat and they are readily available at your local grocery store. You just have to look for it.

What are Some Foods that Lose Belly Fat?
Reducing your weight to a healthy level is difficult for many people but there are some foods that lose belly fat to help you along the way.
When you are hungry, eating foods to reduce weight gain as well as to lower fat levels within your body may seem like an impossible task. But losing weight doesn’t have to be hard. You just need to put a little thought into it.
Without going into the details on the types of food you need to eat to reduce fat, one of the greatest tips I can give you is to start reading the labels on food you buy when going grocery shopping. I’ll get into this more in other articles, but to start just compare the ingredient and nutrients from different brands.
You may not necessarily choose the best food but at least you will get into the habit of buying the best food products based on the knowledge you gained from reading labels.
While you’re at it, learn to eat more fruits and vegetables rather than chocolate bars and potato chips. This alone is a fantastic start to losing your belly fat.
If you like to drink alcohol, try drinking a glass of red wine over a bottle of beer. I’m not saying that beer is bad for you – in fact beer can be a healthy addition as long as you drink in moderation. Also, red wine has a few extra healthy ingredients that beer doesn’t have, but that’s for another article.
Some food items not only help you to reduce belly fat, but they can help you detoxify your body by helping to get rid of unwanted “stuff”. These foods can even help you to increase your metabolism to help you get the most out of the nutrients you take in.
So with that here are…
13 Foods That Lose Belly Fat
1 – Garlic and Onions: Every household should have garlic. Garlic has been used in herbal medicine for centuries and has been considered a “wonder drug” that helps to prevent the cold and flu.
Some people use it to treat acne as well as to lower cholesterol levels and especially to boost your body’s metabolism. It is an excellent source of vitamin B6 as well as a host of other beneficial nutrients.
Onions are a rich source of vitamins A, B, C and E. They also contain potassium and calcium. Onions help to fight cellulite and to stabilize blood sugar. They are also a great addition in many meals when cooking.
2 – Bananas: A 225 gram serving of bananas only has 1 gram of fat, 200 calories and no cholesterol. Bananas are a good source of dietary fiber also which will help you feel full longer.
An excellent source of potassium (which can help reduce blood pressure), a banana also has over 30% of your daily recommended intake of vitamin C among other valuable nutrients like calcium and magnesium.
They also provide quick energy, so if you’re thinking of starting an exercise program along with the Fat Loss 4 Idiots weight loss program, bananas is a great food for burning belly fat and will certainly help you along your way.
3 – Strawberries: Loaded with antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin E and beta-carotene, strawberries are a powerhouse when it comes to health foods. There are so many other essential nutrients in strawberries that you should do your own research for more info. Because strawberries are high in fiber and low in carbohydrates and calories, they will make you feel full longer just like bananas.
…and, if you happen to have wrinkles then strawberries may help because the vitamin C content of strawberries is vital to the production of collagen. Try making a tasty smoothie with bananas and strawberries. An extra bonus for women is that strawberries are also high in iron.
4 – Kiwi: Like strawberries are loaded with many nutrients along with zinc and lots of fiber. Kiwi fruit also helps you to “go to the bathroom” more by stimulating your diuretic functions.
5 – Cereals: Not all cereals are alike so you need to be careful what brand you buy. Some like Corn Flakes help to boost your metabolism. I like to eat cereals that are high in fiber and especially in psyllium fiber.
6 – Salads: Like cereals, not all salads are created equally either. Some salads will even make you gain weight. I also mentioned above that you should be eating more vegetables in your diet. By putting more vegetables on your plate and cutting down on red meat you will be well under way in losing fat from your belly.
A great salad I like to make consists of:
- spinach
- romaine lettuce
- cucumbers
- tomatoes
- sunflower seeds
- bean sprouts
- red onions
- and a sprinkle of apple cider vinegar or a dash of Italian dressing
- lemon zest
- and virgin olive oil
7 – Lemons: I love lemon on top of salmon. A lemon has the lowest sugar content of any other fruit of the same size. They have very little calories and help with circulation as well as to fight cellulitis.
As with many fruits, it’s also high in many vitamins, especially vitamin C as well as potassium. It helps to lower blood pressure and to raise levels of the good cholesterol (HDL).
8 – Nuts and Seeds: Nuts and seeds are higher in calories than other foods that lose belly fat with about 150 to 200 calories per ounce. However, studies have shown that people who eat nuts are thinner than those that don’t with the reason being that nuts are very filling for a longer period, so they eat less of other foods. This is because the calories in nuts are released slowly in our bodies.
Some nuts and seeds, like flax seed, contain omega 3 fatty acids which are a bonus for your health.
9 – Chicken: Bet you were wondering when I was going to get to the meat weren’t you? Chicken is a white meat which is low in fat, sodium as well as cholesterol. There are so many healthy meals you can make with chicken that I’ll see what I can come up with in future articles.
10 – Soy: Did you know that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized food manufacturers to state on their food labels that soy protein helps to reduce the risk of heart disease. Soy can also help to lower blood pressure as well. It’s a good source of omega 3 fatty acids and fiber as well.
Soy foods are also naturally low in calories, fat as well as carbohydrates. The protein in Soy is also even more healthier for you than chicken. Soy also contains fiber which helps to lose belly fat as well. Did I mention that Soy is also rich in Vitamin E, calcium, magnesium folic acid, iron as well as other goodies?
11 – Teas: I’m going to write a more extensive article on drinking teas to lose weight as there is a lot of information on that. But for now, know that tea contains caffeine which helps the fat burning process in you body. Not only does tea have zero calories (if you drink it plain), but it helps to boost your metabolism as well.
12 – Eggs: After watching the Doctor Oz show a while back as well as doing a little research on the Internet, I learned to eat one egg a day (almost) and it’s something you should look into as well. Eggs are one of the most powerful nutrient and protein packed foods you can eat to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time.
Eggs are low in calories, yet high is amino acids, and vitamins. For such a small size, one egg can make you feel full for quite a long time. Eating a couple of eggs for breakfast will not only help in losing belly fat but it will give you a great energy boost as well.
13 – Hot Chilli Peppers: – Wait! Don’t run for the fire extinguisher yet. Some spice foods are actually good for you. Hot chilli peppers have calcium as well as vitamin A and C. Not only can these hot peppers boost your metabolism and to burn that belly fat (which is what you want), but they may even help to prevent some cancers.
These are just some of the foods that lose belly fat, but the Fat Loss for Idiots diet plan has a more comprehensive list that you should look into.
